Just a random live brainstorming session....
Define a tricycle, define the limitations of what is a tricycle.
Tri: 3
Cycle: goes around..
So basically...a 3 wheeled vehicle
But 'cycle' in this term would uusally mean a foot powered vehicle. so a 3-wheeled, foot powered vehicle
Is it defined which wheels are powered? Also, is it defined how the 3 wheel configuration should be?
If so, is a recumberant bicycle in fact a tricycle?
Children's tricycles are traditionally directly powered in the front wheel set in a 1-2 configuration, very few are powered via the rear wheels. What if, this is modified to a 2-1 config, with the front wheels being powered.
Brainstorming worked....coz that idea won't work without complicated universal joints and stuff, because you have to steer the front wheels, and powered. And rear wheel steering is ridiculously dangerous. and rear wheel power will require a much longer chain, thus increasing risk of flicking and children getting sucked into the cogs.
So...back to the drawing board, literally.
